We are the advisory division of the century-old Peterson & Control Union group. We work with companies and organizations by supporting them in reaching their sustainability goals. Each project is a combination of scalable and tailor made services, focussing to facilitate the transition of sustainable supply chains, encompassing services that range from implementing sustainable sourcing programmes to life cycle assessments and carbon reduction schemes. With extensive experience in the commodities industry and in the agricultural sector, we cover all activities throughout the supply chain.

Job requirements

  • Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
  • Initial focus on projects with global food brands companies
  • Strong focus on our programs of responsible and sustainable sourcing
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
  • Location: EU (preferrable in Rotterdam – The Netherlands)


Responsibilities

  • Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
  • Stay on top of accounts, making sure they receive services that are within their budget and meet their needs
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities
  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
  • Plan and implement projects
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define tasks and required resources

  • Manage budget

What we seek in you

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience with Key Account Management & growth (food brands)
  • Experience with sustainable sourcing, sustainability services and certification support
  • Client focus and commercial spirit
  • Graduated from a MSc degree related to sustainability, agriculture, ESG standards, international development, environmental management, business and economics, behavioural change and/or equivalent subjects in the realm of sustainable business development
  • A passion for sustainability and willingness to apply this in supply chain solutions for commercial (agro & food) industries
  • A positive can-do attitude: we are known to be a pragmatic, hands-on service provider
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with colleagues from all over the world, we strongly value a growth mindset
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements, such as using software programs and machines
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Permission to work from the EU.
